Christopher Hampson joins the Atlanta Ballet for several weeks to create a world premier set to the timeless score of Stravinky's Rite of Spring. His dynamic interpretation will challenge the emotional and physical capabilities of the artists.
The dancers have been busy the last couple of weeks working on Val Caniparoli's Lambarena, a fusion of Classical Ballet and traditional African Dance. The work is exciting and energetic and challenges the stamina and physicality of the dancers. We were fortunate to have the chance to work with two very talented African Dance teachers Naomi and Zack for the past week. Here are some pictures from rehearsal for Lambarena.
We all need a little laugh sometimes, so Jared kindly lent his Bluebird variation to be mashed with a rouge hand dryer and a somewhat stretchy face.
